The most apparent trend being seen on the runway are peplum details. Designers such as Thakoon, Proenza Schouler and Marc Jacobs have exhibited peplum detailing in all of their lines. Now, this is a great trend for women that have a slim straight figure but for those of us with a little more in the mid section, it might not be the most flattering trend.
But of course, on the models, it's a great look when paired with the tight bodices and pencil skirt. The peplum can come in many different varieties, which allow designers to have many options. Personally, the ruffled peplum (as seen on the far left) is my favourite style.
